Jai Balaji Jyoti Steels operates a captive power plant at Rourkela (Tainse) supporting their integrated steel operations. The 1×30 TPH AFBC boiler required refractory application work followed by controlled dry-out. M.S. Enterprises bundled both into single-vendor scope.
Scope of Work
Detailed work package delivered under this contract.
- ▸Refractory casting for boiler furnace and ash hopper
- ▸Anchor weld inspection and replacement where required
- ▸Gunning spray cement for distributor plate refractory
- ▸Single-burner dry-out per AFBC OEM specification
- ▸Post-cure inspection and hand-over documentation
Plant had previously used separate vendors for refractory installation and dry-out. Past campaigns had shown disputes over responsibility when refractory failed within warranty — was it material quality, application, or improper dry-out? Plant wanted single-vendor accountability.
M.S. Enterprises bundled material supply + application + dry-out under single project. One supervisor accountable end-to-end. Material grades documented with batch certificates. Dry-out ramp followed AFBC manufacturer's exact TDS with chart-recorder logging. Single project hand-over package covered all stages.
