Online Leak Sealing
Repair leaks in pressurized systems without shutting down the plant — saving production hours and avoiding costly emergency shutdowns.
A leaking pipeline, valve, or flange in a running plant presents a difficult choice: shut down for repair (losing production) or continue operating with the risk of escalation. Online leak sealing eliminates this dilemma by repairing leaks while the system remains pressurized and operational.
M.S. Enterprises has specialized expertise in online leak sealing — a technique that uses engineered clamps, enclosures, and sealant injection to stop leaks in pipelines, valves, flanges, expansion joints, and heat exchanger tube sheets without depressurizing or shutting down the system.
Applications
- Flange leak sealing (steam, water, oil, gas, chemicals)
- Valve gland and body leak sealing
- Pipeline pinhole and crack sealing
- Expansion joint and bellows leak repair
- Heat exchanger tube sheet and bonnet leak sealing
- Boiler tube leak boxing (temporary containment)
How It Works
- Site assessment — identify leak location, pressure, temperature, and media
- Engineering — design clamp/enclosure and select sealant material
- Fabrication — manufacture the containment hardware
- Installation — fit clamp/enclosure around the leak point
- Injection — inject sealant under controlled pressure to stop the leak
- Verification — confirm leak has stopped and system is stable
Media Handled
Steam, hot water, condensate, thermic fluid, fuel oil, LDO, HSD, chemicals, gases, compressed air, and more. Sealant selection is based on media type, temperature, and pressure.
